Soho Acoustics QTR-1 tube preamp. The improved version of the classic Kitty Hawk preamp.  This is a two channel, tube preamp with plenty of flexibility. It is driven by four 12AX7 tubes and has four voicings: Clean, Crunch, Lead, Hot. Each has a master level and separate bass, mid, treble controls. There is also a front mounted instrument input and level control. The preamp is a 19" rack mount type and has the footswitching option although I haven't gotten around to trying that. It sounds great and goes from a classic, clean tube sustain to a mean snarling dog of a best, think triple rectifier. You can get virtually any type of gain level and tone from this unit from jazz to metal. $345

Fender Deluxe Stratocaster in 2 tone Sunburst finish with aged pearloid pickguard and maple fretboard. Very nice overall condition, with a single ding from a studio desk. This guitar has an awesome neck which is in perfect condition. Very light if any fret wear. The headstock is stenciled with a thin Fender "spaghetti" logo in real silver overlay. The back reads "Made in USA" along with the serial number which begins with DZ5, indicating 2005. This guitar was built from top quality USA parts in the Corona California facility. Included is the Fender molded hard shell case for its protection in shipping and for its storage. The case may have a few marks but functions perfectly. The controls feature a master volume and master tone control, plus a speacial "Blender" control that allows the neck pickup to be blended at various levels with any other selected pickup. So you can even get Tele like sounds by combining only the neck and bridge. All pots are top quality Fender/CTS brand with the tone pot being of the no-load variety and the caps are film types and the master volume control has a treble bleed mod, all for the purest possible tone. The body is solid Alder with good weight and it has a solid maple neck with abalone dot fret markers. The back of the neck has the usual walnut "skunk stripe" and has the more rare and chunkier Soft "V" profile. The body is based on the '50s era guitars with nice, deep sculpting and rounded corners. The neck has a deep amber tint which accurately duplicates aging so the guitar looks great compared to the pale maple necks on most other modern versions. The back of the guitar is in perfect condition as is the front (minus the one ding). The trem cover plate is also the custom aged pearl color to match the guard. This is a very nice, sounding and playing guitar and it has a super clean and responsive tone. It has a five position switch to select between the Lindy Fralin Blues Special pickups with aged white covers. These pickups are very chimey and responsive to pick attack for the most expressive playing that you can dish out. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity, so you get the classic "quack" sounds in positions 2 & 4, & hum cancelling. It has a classic, bright bell-like bridge quality with just enough output to break-up nicely for blues and classic rock tones when used with moderate overdrive or a cranked amp. The neck pickup has a very deep and punchy sound with great clarity. You get a full range of  tone with plenty of sparkle and boom for a real '50s sound to a modern crunch when you push it harder. This guitar is professional quality and delivers killer tone! You will get the hard shell case with the guitar. $1325

Univox U-50 Lead guitar vacuum tube head with reverb and tremolo. This is a completely restored vacuum tube guitar head from 1972. Univox was a larger amplifier manufacturer in the '60s and '70s and were the importer for Marshall amplifiers. They also designed the transformers for Marshall amplifiers. They were based in Westbury, New York and were a competitor of Ampeg. Many famous guitarists and bassists played through their heads and cabinets. Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and many other classic rockers used these amps. A nice, solid unit with a full new tube set, new caps, fully tested and rocked-out on! Sweet, creamy highs and a responsive, clean tone with plenty of adjustments and features. The head has two channels and four inputs. It uses two 6L6GC tubes to produce 50w of tube power. No footswitches or pedals are included but you can add those to get really diverse sounds or to operate the tremolo and reverb remotely. $350

Gibson Professional 335-S Deluxe guitar - Here is a sweet sounding guitar that plays very well. It is approaching vintage status and is a very rare model and even a rare color for this model. It looks killer in its vintage 2 tone burst! A 1980 Gibson Professional 335-S Deluxe with Seymour Duncan pickups and two toggle switches that are wired to allow independent selection of the pickups sections via coil tap. you can select both humbucking, one humbucking and one single-coil, or both single coil. There are four possible selections. Plus, the standard three way selector switch allows the usual choices of bridge, neck, or both. Very versatile and very nice sounding. The black and cream zebra colored pickups are the SD JB Model in the bridge and the SD Custom 5 in the neck positions. The tone caps are vintage, epoxy sealed types. The body and neck are mahogany, the fretboard is ebony and it has a brass nut. Standard Gibson stop bar with Nashville style adjustable bridge. It takes its shape from the 335 but the name is a bit confusing as it is not a semi-hollow body and has nothing in common with an ES-335. It is much more like a double cut Les Paul Special with added features. This guitar sounds awesome, has nice low action, and is easy to play. Due to the very versatile pickups and the coil taps, it can go from a smooth and rich sound to a very heavy or gritty sound. It will stay clean or get super saturated depending upon the gain settings on your amplifier and the volume levels on the guitar. It's all stock Gibson except the pickups. The paint is nitro and it has never been refinished. There are quite a few very small dings on the guitar but it looks great overall as you can see from the photos. These guitars  were only produced from 1980 to 1981 and so are quite rare. It is stamped Sept. 15 1980 inside the electronics cavity. It still has its original Gibson USA hardshell case, which is included! $1195.00

Fender Japan Squire guitar - Wayne's World edition with custom WW neckplate. Olympic white finish with white pickguard and rosewood fretboard. Very nice overall condition, with a few dings from gigging over the years. This guitar has a great neck which is in very good condition. Very light (and even!) fret wear with only very minor scrapes. The back feels very smooth with only a few slight indentaions from mild bumps. The headstock is stenciled with both the Fender and Squire logos and reads "Made in Japan" along with the serial number which begins with M0, indicating 1992. This guitar was hand built in 1992 from top quality parts in Japan. Many players find these to be superior to current Mexican production guitars and they were commonly favored over even the American made guitars at the time. This is one of the last great Squire Japan guitars. The pickguard has been signed by the actors Mike Myers and Dana Carvey who played Wayne and Garth in the Saturday Night Live skits, and the Wayne's World movie. The signatures alone make this guitar very special and valuable on their own. The fact that this is also a very nice playing, older MIJ guitar makes it a great item for serious players as well. The hardware is excellent and the guitar stays in tune. The bridge has the heavy tremolo block and the whammy bar is included. The pickguard, knobs, and pickup covers have all naturally aged and give it a more vintage appeal. They contrast nicely with the white body and the black plys on the edge of the guard really set off the whole assembly from the creamy white of the aged olympic white paint. The control features the standard Strat dual tone controls, and volume control. The body is solid Alder and it has a solid maple neck with a thick, "slab" rosewood fretboard with white dot fret markers. The back of the neck has the usual walnut "skunk stripe". The weight is nice and light for a Squire, which is a really unusual find despite having a more rigid build as it is routed for S/S/S only, leaving more wood in the center of the guitar for a stronger tone. The body is based on the '57-'62 style guitars. There are a few scrapes and dings as would be expected on a 16 year old guitar but much less than you would typically find and because of the color of the guitar, the spots don't show much at all. The dents in the body don't go through the paint and just leave some hair line cracks around them. The close-up of the bottom horn shows the worst of it. There are also the typical fine cracks in the finish at the neck pocket however they  almost never go into the wood. The back of the neck is in very nice condition and a lucky find for a guitar of this age. This is a very nice sounding and playing guitar and it has a bright, powerful tone, similar to the late sixties Fenders. You will get a tweed hard shell case with the guitar. $795

Custom '50s, home brew, guitar amp. Very cool, one of a kind item with a lush tube sound. This is a vintage tube power amp inside of a custom 2x8 cabinet, All of the components are from the fifties and the cabinet is hand crafted. The cabinet is a sturdy, wood box with mitered edges to create a look with clean or no seams. The grill is a vew addition but a vintage tight woven cane as seen on old Marshall or Orange amplifiers. The amp inside is a 12w power amp using a pair of 6V6 tubes and I think a single 12AX7 driver. It also has a rectifier tube of some type but it is not handy to look at right now. I think it's a 5U4. The speakers are vintage, one is a '50s or early '60s AlNiCo unit and the other is a ceramic I think but it is also very old, early sixties I'd say. They are both 8 inch drivers but of a different type. I think they'll handle the output of the amp but it'd be close. I've never pushed it quite that far. The amp is practically a combo as it sits but it still needs a preamp to drive it. In the photo is a multi-effects processor/preamp being used to drive it. That unit is not included here but is for sale separately. You could use any preamp that you like to drive it, even an overdrive pedal and a volume pedal will work or you can control the volume with the guitar. As you can see, the form factor is unique as well. it is about 36" wide, 11" tall and 15" deep. I'll confirm that if you need it exactly but that's pretty close from memory. This thing looks like a million bucks and sounds it as well. Very smooth, syrupy tones abound with enough power on tap to get it screaming given the right amount of preamp gain. it'll play very cleanly and softer with no preamp connected so the levels will be limited if you plug in directly. There is a slight hum to it due to its age and as I have not recapped it. I'll do that for an added fee if you like but it works fine now. Replacing the speakers with a pair of more robust and efficient, 4 ohm, 8" drivers would allow the amp to play much louder still. the speakers in there are 8 ohm, presenting the amp with a 16 ohm load with the present wiring scheme and they are not as efficient. they do provide a nice, complex, and warm tone though. If you want a louder amp with the proper 8 ohm total load, I can rig that for an adder as well. We have two separate preamps for sale here at this time also, so you can get a complete rig if you like.  Tube power amp and 2x8 combo $495.00

Gibson Les Paul Custom copy - Ebony finish with chrome hardware. Late 1970s model, nice shape overall with typical scrapes showing as will happen on a black gloss finish. Nice sounding humbuckers in a chambered ply body with a mahagony bolt-on neck produce a pretty darned authentic sound. Nice quality, heavy build by a Japanese company, perhaps the same factory that produced the Hondo guitars. Aged white binding and pearloid block inlays top off this  Black Beauty. They even got the arched top, cut away, and headstock looking very original. There are no logos, model names, or numbers anywhere on it that I can find. This is a great looking and easy playing guitar that will be perfect to take to gigs or to practice without fear of dinging your expensive Gibson. Check it out. $250.00

Custom, Fender Stratocaster guitar - nearly new condition guitar with fabulous vintage looks and top quality USA parts. This guitar started out as a pristine 2006, USA made Highway One Strat and has been customized to have some high quality options and a unique vintage look. The pickups have been replaced with genuine Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups. Rosewood fretboard, chrome vintage hardware, all like new with gig bag. $750.00  SOLD

Gibson SG Special guitar - Here is a great guiter that sounds as fantastic as it looks! A 2001 Gibson SG Special in the now discontinued and hard to find Teal Blue "Flip-Flop" finish which looks like a blue at one angle and a green at another. Very much like the classic Pelham Blue finish but with a greater stage appeal. This guitar sounds awesome, has super low action, and is extremely light weight (6 lbs,13 oz!). Very easy to play and goes from a smooth but clean sound to a very heavy growl depending upon the gain settings on your amplifier. It's all stock Gibson but the paint has been refinished. There are a few very small dings on the guitar but it looks great overall as you can see from the photos. These guitars sold new for $1000 when they were available and only came with a soft gig bag. This one already has 6 years on its way to becoming a classic and includes a genuine Gibson USA hardshell case! $795.00 SOLD

Fender Classic '50s Stratocaster in Sea Foam Green finish with white pickguard and maple fretboard. Very nice overall condition, with a single ding from a mic stand. This guitar has a great neck which is in very good condition. Very light (if even!) fret wear. The back feels very smooth with few imperfections if at all. The headstock is stenciled with the classic Fender "spaghetti" logo and the back reads "Made in Mexico" along with the serial number which begins with MZ2, indicating 2002. This guitar was built from top quality USA parts in Mexico. Included is a tweed hard shell case for its protection in shipping and for its storage. The case may have a few dings and marks but functions perfectly and looks the part too. The control features the standard Strat dual tone controls, and volume control. The body is solid Alder with good weight and it has a solid maple neck with black dot fret markers. The back of the neck has the usual walnut "skunk stripe". The body is based on the '57-'62 era guitars and the Sea Foam Green was a classic Fender color from 1957. The neck has a deep amber tint which accurately duplicates aging so the guitar looks great compared to the pale maple necks on most other modern versions. The back of the guitar is in perfect condition as is the front, and it still has the original Fender sticker on the trem cover plate. There is only one noticable ding on the guitar, which is indicated in the photos. It was very hard to photograph as it has been filled with real sea foam green enamel, isn't very large and is right on the edge. This is a very nice, vintage sounding and playing guitar and it has a warm, sweet tone, unlike most modern Fenders. It has a five position switch but the middle pickup is not reverse polarity, so you get the "quack" sounds in positions 2 & 4, but no hum cancelling. It has a more direct and woody tone than most Strats with plenty of sparkle and boom for a real '50s sound. You will not sound like everyone else! You will get the hard shell case with the guitar. $595 SOLD

Fender Tele, Classic '50s series, White Blonde finish with black pickguard and maple fretboard. Excellent overall condition, nary a ding to be found. I wish that I could get the photos to represent just how beautiful the transparent blonde finish is. They really don't do it any justice. The photo of the back of the guitar body shows a little bit of grain but when in person, you can see a lot of nice grain throughout while its White Blonde stain covers well enough to give it a very consistent finish. It also polishes up to a very high gloss and is just a darned pretty guitar. The fellow that I got it from has played for over 30 years and has toured the US. This guitar has a great neck which is in very good condition. The headstock is stenciled with the Fender "spaghetti" logo and reads "Made in Mexico" on the back along with the serial number which begins with MZ3, indicating 2003. This guitar was built from top quality USA parts in Mexico. Included a tweed hard shell case for its protection in shipping and for its storage. You will not sound like everyone else! You will get the hard shell case with the guitar. $545 SOLD

Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar - Ebony finish with chrome hardware. 2002 model, nice shape overall with typical minor scrapes showing as will happen on a black gloss finish. Gibson 490 and 498T humbuckers in a solid mahogany body with set mahagony neck produce an awesome growl. This is a super rich sounding guitar that goes from creamy soft jazz to snarling dog metal in the stomp of a pedal! Hard shell case included, $650.00 SOLD

Fender Musicmaster guitar - All original condition, vintage guitar. This guitar was hand built in 1959-1960 from top quality parts in the USA. The electronics have '60 date codes on them and the neck appears to be '59. Based on these clues and several others including the serial number, we believe this instrument was completed in early 1960. I have made no attempt to clean or condition the guitar at all. I wiped it down with a damp cloth to remove some dust but no polish or finish of any type was applied. It is bare nitrocellulose paint. A coat of guitar polish or wax would help protect it but that's up to you. It plays great like it is. The bridge has the threaded steel type saddles as seen on Telecasters of the same year and it still has the chrome bridge cover. Everything on this guitar is original. $1495.00  SOLD

Fender Stratocaster guitar - nice condition guitar with classic vintage looks and top quality USA parts. This guitar started out as a 1996 Mexican Standard and has been upgraded using a 2006 USA Highway One pickguard assembly. This features AlNiCo pickups, "Grease Bucket" tone circuit, and volume kit, and a solid maple neck. The back of the neck has been buffed to a smooth satin finish for a faster, excellent playing feel. There are a few dings as would be expected on an 11 year old guitar but most all are in the black area around the outside of the body and don't show much at all. $400.00  SOLD

Gretsch G2557 Pro Jet II with Bigsby. This is a pretty unique and rare guitar. It appears to be a hybrid between the Gretsch 6128T-1957 Duo Jet and the Electromatic G5235T Pro Jet. All of the switches and controls work, the knobs are beautiful. It's just as close to mint for a guitar of this age as you will find anywhere. No buckle rash! Classic Gretsch strap locks. Fully adjustable Tune-o-matic style bridge. Black gig bag. $810.00 SOLD

Fender Concert II amplifier - Rivera Era amplifier, like the Twin Reverb without the tremolo and this one is a 1x12 making it a bit smaller and lighter for easier transport as well. All tube circuitry, point to point wiring, this unit was hand built in the USA in 1983. It's in quite nice condition for its age and has a Celestion G12T100 speaker installed. It has a modification to add a master reverb control on the back panel and an upgraded bias resistor. These were common faults with these amplifiers and so both have been addressed here. $695.00  SOLD

Traynor YBA-2B tube combo amp. Designed for both bass and guitar, this all tube, 20w combo sounds amazing. It was hand built in Canada in 1971 and has been gone over and had the few aging components replaced with top quality parts to be at its best once again. It includes a pair of JJ EL84 power tubes and a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes. It takes pedals well for a wide variety of sounds and can play sweetly at bedroom levels as well as rock out for a packed cafe session. $495.00 SOLD

'73 Fender Precision Bass guitar - nice condition guitar with classic vintage looks and top quality USA parts. This guitar is a classic with a beautiful sunburst finish and all stock parts. It comes with the original Fender case. This features the origianl AlNiCo pickups, and a solid maple neck.  There are a few dings as would be expected on an 34 year old guitar but almost all are on the back area just under the neck plate where they all wear from use. This is a very nice sounding and playing guitar at a very attractive price. You won't find a better buy on a cooler guitar than this one! $1475.00  SOLD
