The Perseus preamplifier is Rogue Audio's new, affordable, yet full function preamp. It is exceptionally well built and provides stunning sound quality for an unbelievable price. The Rogue Audio Perseus preamplifiers have tightly regulated power supplies with a custom, toroidal transformer. Careful attention has been paid to the board layout to insure the best possible signal quality. Switching is done at the input board via fiberglass rods attached to bearing mounted front panel controls. The top quality phono section is fully adjustable and allows loading of the cartridge, capacitance selection, gain selection with up to 65db available for even the finest low output moving coil cartridges. The sound of this phono stage is amazing and was not an afterthought or a simple "me too" addition. It is easily one of the finest available and features solid state design for extremely low noise and close tolerances. Value in spades, this unit is available with a remote volume control and the phono stage is standard. Coupling the solid state phono section to the vacuum tube line stage delivers the cleanest, sweetest reproduction of vinyl that we have heard at anywhere near this price.
